Let me give you a little background, my name is Janine and I’m a portrait photographer based in Rockport TX.

I have always been one of those kids who loved being creative, I was the kid in school who adored art class but hated math and couldn’t spell worth spit. I was very much an average student except when it came to Art. So when it was time to decide what direction to go in life I choose a creative one, Graphic Design, but life has an interesting way of taking you on a journey towards where you need to be. I never did become a Graphic Designer. Instead I got married (twice lol it’s a long story), moved across the world again twice lol another long story, had children and slowly started to get into Photography. I must admit I love all photography but my fav is portraits! The challenge of making people comfortable enough to let me get that candid shot or the look of surprise when they see their pictures for the first time is a special thrill. I live for relaxed, natural shoots that allow me to capture that real laugh, cheeky grin or that sparkling look. Helping family’s have keepsakes to remind them of moments in their life’s journey is what feeds my soul.

When I’m not shooting family, children or product sessions or just experimenting with my camera you will find me at home with my brood including two dogs, three kids and the most supportive, wonderfully patient husband. As I said life happens and fate takes us where we need to be, and this is where I need to be.
